| Stikliai Hotel is newly renovated and refurbished in 2008. Hotel has two connecting rooms, handicapped rooms, non-smoking rooms, all designed with excellent taste. In total 43 rooms: 14 singles, 13 doubles, 4 superior doubles, 6 junior suites, 5 suites and 1 presidential suite are designed and equipped for your comfort, relaxation and an unforgettable stay in Vilnius. The property holds Conference room for up to 60 persons, Winter Garden with a cozy fireplace, billiard and table games room, Lobby Bar, Main Restaurant with French cuisine, Tavern with traditional Lithuanian and European dishes and a Café across the cobbled street full of delicious, freshly made cakes and pastries well know in Vilnius for its superb traditional recipes. Strolling through Vilnius Old Town, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you cannot miss the Stikliai Hotel. Housed in an old building with baroque and gothic features, the hotel stands at the intersection of five of the prettiest narrow lanes in the heart of the Old Town, surrounded by Vilnius’ characteristically Baroque church spires, pastel-colored buildings and appealing souvenir shops. From the 17th century until World War II these bustling, winding streets were at the centre of one of Europe’s foremost Jewish communities. Even before this time the area was a centre of craftsmen. The name Stikliai comes from the Lithuanian for “glassblowers”, after a group of Masters who obtained a license from Venice to open the Lithuanian Grand Duchy’s first glassblowing workshop. The hotel is close to Vilnius University, the President’s Office and the Town Hall, and is surrounded by churches, museums, restaurants and gift shops.
