| Centerhotel Skjaldbreid, centrally located in the heart of Reykjavik! Enjoy the atmosphere of the city center and the comfort of a new hotel.With a total of 33 rooms the Centerhotel Skjaldbreid is located in one of the stateliest houses in Reykjavik´s old city center. The attractive comfortable rooms are all equipped with private bath, telephone, radio and satellite TV. Breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 10:00. Early breakfast is available upon request on departure day from 04:00. Hotel guests are welcome to sit down in the breakfast room or our cosy lounge at any time of day, have a cup of coffee, or just rest after a day of sight-seeing. Excellent parking facilities in two city-operated parking garages situated a mere stone throw away. At Hotel Skjalbreid guests are treated to friendly and personalized service and are assured of serene and restful accommodation in a refined atmosphere. Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms only and is free of charge. Hotel Skjaldbreid was opened in 1998. Located on Reykjavik’s main shopping street, Laugavegur, the hotel offers an ideal location for exploring the historic centre; shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, nightlife and main attractions can all be found within easy walking distance. Vegamót is an elegant but casual two floor Bistro. It is one of those places that have the wonderful quality of being all in one, bistro, café and a bar. The decor is rich on the Mediterranean side, yet elegant with jazzy ambience. During the summer tables are brought out to a cosy terrace sheltered from the wind where one can enjoy a light meal or a cup of coffee. Vegamót are famous for their fresh fish of the day, served lunch hours and onwards. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, portions, and presentation of the dishes and there is a wide selection of decadent desserts for those who make it that far. |
